Off-Grid System Design and Compliance with Glen Morris, General Manager of the Smart Energy Lab
Join Glen via Zoom Meetings to learn all about off-grid systems
- designing and installing to standards an off-grid solar and battery power system
- this course assumes a basic understanding of electrical theory, like what are amps, volts, and watts
- includes on-grid installations that need backup
- basics of how solar PV works, and how to assess the suitability of a prospective solar panel site
- understanding what the customer requires
- producing an estimated daily energy demand
- completing the six step process for sizing a solar and battery systems
- sizing the battery inverter for maximum demand
- ensuring compliance to the safety standards
- configuring the electrical protection system
- specifing the correct cable sizes, overcurrent protection devices and isolators
Four x 2 hour sessions

Wednesday 25 to Thursday 26 May 4:30pm to 6:30pm (AEST)
The course includes all presentation resources and training materials. A recording of each session will be distributed to registrants.
